Pupil Resource Centre
Welcome to the Over The Hills Driving Academy pupil resources page. This is intended as an aid to compliment your lessons, free of charge, should you wish to familiarise yourself further with the area in which you will be taking your driving test.
You will find videos and diagrams of some of the more challenging road networks and layouts that might be part of your practical driving test in the area you have chosen.
Additionally the "Show Me Tell Me" questions that you must know for your practical test are demonstrated with the driving school car.
Your driving instructor will cover everything necessary (and more) prior to you taking your practical driving test. If you have any questions or concerns please ask them. This resource does not remove your right to question, ask, learn, and build confidence in your ability to pass your practical driving test and continue to drive safely for life.
Chesterfield vs Sutton-in-Ashfield
Whilst there is great concern for many of you at the thought of tackling the "scary" roundabouts of Chesterfield, I can catagorically say that they are not that bad once you have taken time to understand them.
Equally, some of you have said to me that Sutton-in-Ashfield feels more scary and agressive than Chesterfield. The roads are just a little smaller and more cluttered with parked cars and other road users.
Both areas have unique and different challenges, all of which you should feel confident in tackling. This page has been created as an aid to further help you with that following our lessons around them.
My aim as an instructor is to ensure that you leave me with the skills to drive confidently wherever you choose to go!
